I Found This While Helping a Friend Out for His Birthday

Filed Under (Marketing and Advertising, Source Code Gold Mine, Web 2.0, list building) by Andrew Whiteman on 08-10-2008

A friend of mine in the online world, Rob Toth just
had his 28th birthday.

I knew that last year he ran a pretty stacked “firesale”
of his products as a limited time promo. And when we spoke
over a week ago, he mentioned that he was doing the same
thing for this birthday.

Seeing as he’s a friend AND a respected marketer, author,
info product publisher (and more), I told him to send
me the details of his “sale” once it was live and I’d
check it out to see if it’s something I could (ie: would
want to) recommend to you.

Well…

What he put together for this year is even more packed
than last year’s “27 Gifts” and yet it’s about 1/3 the
price. ($8!!)

You probably don’t know, but Rob started online a few
years back with no formal education, no contacts, no
experience, no extra money and replaced his cook income
where he was making $8.50 per hour.

Now he charges $199/hr, I know he’s worked on some very
profitable launches and he gets invitations to speak at
seminars (so far he maintains he’s not interested in
the seminar circuits though) but he’s definitely found
on a lot of “expert panel” teleseminars.

Point is, he’s the “employee who started from nothing
and built a respected, brand name and six-figure income
using the internet”.

Here’s the page for his 28th Birthday promo:

Dear Employee Birthday Sale

I doubt HIS story matters in YOUR life…

But, he covers a lot of the concepts, techniques and
even fast cash strategies of how he accomplished this
in a set of 4 reports which I know he’s looking to
release as a full “Dear Employee” brand sometime next
year (for A LOT more than the current price).

On top of that, his “28th Birthday Sale” includes his
traffic course, a list of bonuses AND 9 new (or at least,
I’ve never seen these floating around) mass market info
products each with Private Label Rights!

… In case you still don’t know, Private Label Rights
or “PLR” allows you to take the finished product (in
this case the books) and rework them and relabel them
however you please … then sell it as YOUR OWN book
for 100% of the profit.

There are NINE fully finished books, graphics and
salesletters included along side Rob’s own Dear Employee
reports and the bonuses I mentioned.

Take a look:

Dear Employee Birthday Sale

Obviously I’m biased!

1) I know Rob… you probably don’t

2) I know of his hands-on experience and successes

3) I know the areas of his expertise

4) I’ve read his reports (and liked them!)

5) I read through his entire offer because I promised
him I would (unlike “pitches” that come my way, I didn’t
just skim it)… so I know all the value that’s in his
birthday package

But mostly, I also know that when he says “limited time”
offer, he means it. In fact, he has a reputation
building for this.

So if you DO want to peek into all that Rob is making
available for $8 (the price is set so low as a theme for
his 28th birthday)… then now’s the time to drop by
his page:

Dear Employee Birthday Sale

Web 2.0 Marketing

Filed Under (Training, Web 2.0) by Don on 08-07-2008

A List Of 5 Web 2.0 Marketing Techniques You Should Try

Web 2.0 is a growing movement that is quickly changing the focus of the web from automatic search engine spiders to user-driven systems.  Lost in the mix up of this modern age?  Here are 5 Web 2.0 traffic-generating techniques you can use for your online business dealings:

1.    Social networks.  Websites like Digg and Revver fit in to this category of Web 2.0 destinations.  Social information networks allow its members to submit news and information to the network.  Other members will then be able to vote for the said information if it shares extremely valuable and highly beneficial information, or bury the same if it contains inaccurate, boring, useless or old news.  The more votes a news article receives, the higher its position will be in the website.  If a news item receives enough votes, it can appear on the front page of the social news website, and this will lead thousands - if not millions - of people to the news item’s URL immediately.

2.    Social networking websites.  You can create an account with websites like MySpace, FaceBook, Friendster, Multiply and the likes.  You can make friends with a lot of other members so that they can be included in your network and you in theirs.  From then on, you can send group messages to all the members of your network, where you can promote your product as well as your URL.

3.    Video streaming websites.  Video is the future of the internet, and that future is here}, right now.  You can produce a video relevant to the topic of your website and upload the same in video streaming sites like YouTube, Veoh and MetaCafe.  Add in a watermark of your URL on your  video.  Include your URL in the narrative of the said video.

4.    Social bookmarking. Familiar with the bookmarking feature of your web browser?  Social bookmarking works the same way, only, you will bookmark your favorite URLs on a social bookmarking website.  You can also share your list of bookmarked URLs with  others.  Just bookmark your own website in the most appropriate category for it, and share the same with millions of internet users all over the world.

5.     Tagging.  With websites like Del.icio.us and Del.irio.us, you can submit put forward new content you have published in your own website.  You can file this content under a category of your own choosing, and even under a category of your own making.  The process is called tagging.  A tag is the name of the category you give to the content you will add.  Under a specific tag, the latest entry will always appear on top.  That’s why, if your tag is truly unique, your entry will always be the easiest one to see.
